Two years ago I started yoga at the Inner Power studio at Gelson's Village in Calabasas. Coincidentally, at the same time I was diagnosed with early periosteoporisis. I was in the medium risk area. I was only 45 years of age. My doctor wanted me to start taking drugs right away, but I decided to take a different approach: using supplements and doing yoga twice a week. Until then I hadn't done any weight bearing exercises. I was recently retested and have reversed my condition down to low risk. My doctor was very impressed.
